Jim is a founding partner of Ford & Britton, PC and practiced law as a trial attorney for over 30 years, primarily in the area of insurance defense. Jim retired in 2024 and enjoys spending his time with his family on the golf course.

Jim has represented many religious and not-for-profit entities throughout Illinois in the full range of personal injury, premises liability and other tort matters, such as, defamation and invasion of privacy.  He has also had considerable experience in defending sexual abuse and molestation claims, including claims with multiple victims and significant exposure beyond insurance coverage.
